WISE Development is a global network of independent consultants, mainly women, specialising in enterprise, institutional and social development.
WISE Development is a consultancy service that takes into account the special issues facing poor women engaged in economic activity around the world.
WISE Development's network currently comprises about thirty members of whom about half are based in developing countries and transitional-economy countries, whilst the others are based in western and northern donor countries.
WISE Development is well-positioned to call on a wide range of skills and experience in development work across most parts of the world (see WISE Associates Work Assignments).
WISE Development was founded in 2000 by Caroline Pinder who has worked in social and enterprise development in Central and Southern Africa, U.K. and Eastern Europe. Caroline is supported by several Senior Associates, all with extensive international development experience.
